Adoption

Visit the Capital Area Humane Society and plan to spend a few hours selecting the pet that’s the right fit for you, your family and your lifestyle. You will need to complete an adoption application before approval is granted. Most applicants are approved but some instances prohibit adoption such as apartment units that won’t accept pets.

Our extensive health package worth $300 includes basic vaccinations; spaying or neutering; health screening; temperament testing and behavior advice; pet identification tag; heartworm and feline leukemia testing.

Pricing

• Dogs - Starting at $150
• Puppies - Starting at $200
• Cats and kittens - $125 (2 for 1 cat and kitten adoptions).

Adoption Hours

Monday - Friday: 12 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Saturday: 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
