
Appointments must be made and are scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Please all 517-626-6821 x.36 for an appointment. Please note that it may take up to 48 hours for a returned call due to the volume of calls we receive on a daily basis.
Please note that if you wish to schedule an appointment for 3 or more cats, you will need to pre-pay for your appointment. This can be done over the phone or in person at the shelter. There will be one opportunity to reschedule your appointment. If you do not show up for your second appointment, your payment will NOT be refunded and will be considered a tax-deductible donation to the CAHS.
The Clinic is located on the East end of the CAHS facility. Please park in the front lot and follow the walkway around to the Clinic entrance.
Cats must be over two pounds and under five years of age. Up-to-date vaccinations and feline leukemia testing for cats is strongly recommended prior to surgery.
Dogs must be under 5 years old to qualify for surgery. Dogs over 1 year must have a negative heartworm test (which is offered at CAHS for $25.00). Dogs 4 months and older must have a rabies vaccine (which is offered at CAHS for $10.00).

Dog neuter (70 lbs and under): $85.00
Dog neuter (71 lbs - 99 lbs): $90.00
Dog neuter (100 lbs and over): $100.00

Adult Dogs & Cats: $25.00, includes feline distemper (cats), canine distempter (dogs) and Rabies vaccine.
Puppies & Kittens (under 16 weeks): $35.00, includes feline distemper (cats), canine distempter (dogs), Rabies vaccine, and booster vaccine (4 weeks after first vaccine).
Single Rabies Vaccine: $10.00
Single Distemper Vaccine: $20.00
The CAHS is now offering Microchipping to all animals adopted from the shelter as well as to those from the Public Spay/Neuter Clinic. The microchip costs $25 and there is an additional $14.99 registraion fee. Please call (517) 626-6060 for more information.
